Tulisan di bawah ini sebenarnya pernah beberapa kali saya masukkan ke blog sebelumnya, dan pada waktu itu menarik banyak perhatian dari teman-teman saya sehingga banyak yang mengirimkan feedback berupa komen-komen positif. Maka dari itu saya mau masukkan tulisan ini kembali dengan beberapa perubahan. can't wait to see the readers' reactions...
tagline adalah tulisan yang biasanya terpampang di poster sebuah film... seperti halnya produk-produk yang lain, purpose daripada tagline adalah untuk mempromosikan filmnya dengan cara membuatnya se-kreatif mungkin untuk menarik perhatian... kadang2 berhubungan,,kadang2 tidak sama sekali...kadang2 dimaksudkan untuk meng-highlight isi dari filmnya,,kadang2 cuman buat lucu2an saja... here are some of the taglines i notice worth to be remembered :
- Funny and Wacky Taglines
1. "nice planet,we'll take it." (MARS ATTACKS!)
-- simple tapi "nonjok" banget...juga sangat renyah bila kita ingat bahwa aktor-aktor terkenal yg tampil di film ini (jack nicholson, pierce brosnan) cuma buat diolok2 saja.
2. "he knows no fear, he knows no danger, he knows nothing." (JOHNNY ENGLISH)
-- jayus banget tapi cocok banget buat ngejelasin akting bloon rowan atkinson
3. "all the fun of schools, none is the education." (OLD SCHOOL)
-- great idea for a brainless wacky flick..
4. "bury the grudge, burn the village, see the saw." (SCARY MOVIE 4)
-- sudah menunjukkan film2 yg diparodiin di dalamnya
5. "the fourth and the final chapter of the trilogy". (SCARY MOVIE 4)
-- tim kreatif film ini emang konyol.. pertama,, trilogy kan jelas2 cuman ada 3,, sedangkan ini film ke-4... kedua,, siapa yg mau percaya kalo ga akan ada scary movie 5? it's a blockbuster, means a lot of money!!"
6. "he has just found the gig of his life : 5th grade." (SCHOOL OF ROCK)
-- pas banget buat premis film ini: jack black yg ngajarin anak2 SD kelas 5 nge-band...
7. "in Bruce we trust." (BRUCE ALMIGHTY)
-- just one word : hilarious!!
8. "controversy? what controversy??!!!" (FAHRENHEIT 9/11)
-- itu tagline buat versi dvd film dokumenter Michael Moore ini... cover depannya ada foto Moore berjabat tangan dengan George W. Bush... dasar Michael moore!
9. "love doesn't come cheap." (THE WEDDING DATE)
-- tagline sinetron nih??
10. "In Vietnam, the wind doesn't blow. It sucks!"
-- best tagline of the decade
- Creepy Taglines
1. "when there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk on earth." (DAWN OF THE DEAD)
-- yes,,we can see that from the movie and other zombie flicks,, thank u!
2. "think u're alone? think again!" (HOLLOW MAN) -- sounds too much GOOSEBUMPS to me.. tapi iya sih,, serem
3. "oh yes,, there will be blood!" (SAW II)
-- oh man,, whose blood this time??
4. "the wager between heaven and hell is on earth" (CONSTANTINE)
-- kok filmnya ngga seseru tagline-nya?
5. "prey.slay.display." (HOUSE OF WAX)
-- keren... kebayang betapa sadisnya sehabis membantai korban dijadiin patung lilin..paris hilton dibasmi aja!
6. "whoever wins, we lose." (ALIEN VS PREDATOR)
-- tagline buat batman vs superman apa yah
7. "the media made them superstar" (NATURAL BORN KILLERS)
-- serem juga mengingat pengaruh media terhadap masyarakat kita... dalam film ini,, pembunuh malah jadi superstar
8. "trust a few. fear the rest" (X-MEN)
-- ada yg tau kenapa x-men mesti masang tagline misterius spt ini?? aah persetan,,menurut gw keren juga
9. "in space, noone can hear you scream." (ALIEN)
-- that just explains everything
- Lesson-for-life Taglines
1. "the first casualty of war is innocence." (PLATOON)
-- hear hear Mr.Bush!
2. "today's defeat is tomorrow's victory wrapped in lesson" (KICKING AND SCREAMING)
-- klise,,tapi bagus... agak terlalu serius buat sebuah film komedi.
3. "misery loves company." (13 GHOSTS)
-- saya lebih seneng ngambil sisi religius dari kalimat ini.
4. "growing up has nothing to do with age." (ABOUT A BOY)
-- damn! now i know why i like Hugh Grant's movies
5. "if u believe in love at first sight, take a closer look." (CLOSER)
-- damn! pas banget ama isi filmnya...
6. "freedom forever!" (V FOR VENDETTA)
-- keren buanget... singkat padat jelas revolusionis...
7. "every father is a hero to his son" (ROAD TO PERDITION)
-- touching...i mean it
8. "moving at the speed of life, we are bound to collide with each other." (CRASH)
-- no comment. just perfect
9. "life is waiting" (THE TERMINAL)
-- bener banget,,jack... do you see how's the clock hand moving very slowly?
9. "murder is not always a crime" (DOUBLE JEOPARDY)
-- i need a diplomatic respond to this
10. "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" (CURSED)
-- right,, then u have to get up and fight back...
11. "heroes don't die, they just reload" (RAMBO)
-- M2 magazine says 'no country for old hero' to explain Rambo
and finally... my favorite is :
"FEAR CAN SET YOU PRISONER... HOPE CAN SET YOU FREE"
-- THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
